Indian history with questionable demands from possible matches mostly in arranged marriages is not exactly something to be proud of for a country. Exemplifying something similar, a PhD groom is going viral on social media, as his text including all his bizarre and over-the-top demands from a medico bride was shared online. From an ideal BMI, several career constraints like not working for 7 years after marriage to bringing physical contributions to the family’s lifestyle and more, the text had all typical demands that were quick to anger many. However, a few people called the text a fake.
The post, after going viral, began to draw more reactions. Most people compared the man’s demands with the ones that are usually kept by the woman’s families while arranged marriages, while the rest chastised the groom for the ‘entitlement’.
The post was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Chinmayi’. The post was captioned, “This is the exact List Of Requirements that a Groom sent to a prospective bride who is a Medico. The groom is a PhD and Gold Medallist apparently. LOL.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “They are entitled to have their preferences the way bride's family would be having (6 figure salary, stay separate from parents after marriage, etc etc),” a user said. “BMI is also mentioned, interesting. I would really like to see this groom photo somehow and see where he stands,” added another.
“It’s funny to see people in the comments saying this is fake because my parents have sent me at least a dozen highly educated morons over the years who have said the same kind of stuff to my face,” added a third person. “What phd can't spell mechanised,” added a fourth person. “The message in the screenshot looks like you sent it to someone, not the other way around. Should have borrowed some brain cells,” added another.
