When it comes to comfortable flights, IndiGo is often at the bottom of the list among the options for most people. However, when it comes to affordability, the airline has quite a good reputation. But that might see a change real soon, as the airline recently increased the prices for some of its seats, which immediately triggered many. The airline will not reportedly change Rs 2000 for a front-row seat if one is looking for some extra legroom. As soon as the report went online, the netizens did not hold back their complaints as they attacked IndiGo with the issues they had faced so far in the flight. Some even asked the airline to start changing the air the passengers will breathe while travelling in the aircraft.

The new rates were posted on the airline’s website, where it was cleared that a window or aisle seat in the front row would cost Rs 2000. Meanwhile, the rate for the seats in the second and the third row will cost Rs 400.

The post was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘ArenaJet’.

The post went viral and drew a lot of attention and criticism. Most people hated the new charges and recalled other issues that they have faced with IndiGi so far, while others dubbed it ‘troublesome’. Some also threw some sarcastic remarks on the report as they asked the airline to start charging for breathing as well. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 20K views from people.

Taking to the commentary section, people shared their take. “@IndiGo6E please start choking passengers for breathing on your aircraft also. Add one POS machine on your washroom door so that passengers can tap the credit card for usage. I am afraid we will soon see a tip box on the emergency exit door that can only be accessed after tipping,” a user said. “Indigo does not really care. They operate like a monopoly and will continue to do so till a suitable challenger enters the market. As usual, the authorities don't care as well,” said a second person.

“Indigo has the most uncomfortable seats out of all domestic airlines in India. Not worth paying a dime. Have always tried my best to avoid Indigo in the last couple of years (whenever possible),” commented a third. “They should opt for a mat, this way they can take more passengers,” said another.
