Karnataka Little Girl Viral Video: Imagine you're just walking down the road, thinking about your evening plans, not a worry in the world, and suddenly, something terrifying happens. That’s exactly what a now-viral video shows, leaving social media shocked. In the clip, a little girl in Karnataka is seen walking peacefully, unaware that danger is lurking nearby. Two street dogs stand behind a parked car, and the moment they spot her, they charge. One dog grabs her clothes and pulls her down, and the second joins in. The terrified girl screams and cries as the dogs drag her briefly before running off.
The horrifying CCTV footage has gone viral online. It was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle @theskindoctor13, who wrote, "A little girl in Karnataka, simply walking and minding her own business, is attacked by street dogs, unprovoked. By the time you finish watching this video, 3-4 people, including kids, will be bitten somewhere in India."
In the post, he further added, "Imagine the scale! India sees 5,000–10,000 dog bites every day. We must keep speaking up until it becomes part of the mainstream conversation and governments are finally compelled to do something about this." Shared just a day ago, the video has already been viewed over 258,000 times on the platform, sparking serious concern and debate over the growing menace of stray dog attacks in India.

The users flooded the comment section. One user wrote, "Koi bhi safe nahihai.. naainsaankutto se safe hein..naakutteinsaano se safe hein." "The most important point to remember is that you should never run away from a stray dog (or any dog). Running away can trigger a dog’s hunting behavior, which tells them to chase you. It’s better to walk away slowly to avoid triggering that behaviour," a second user added.
"India reported around 22 lakh dog bite cases in 2024, with over 5 lakh victims being kids under 15. That’s roughly 6,000 bites daily, and Karnataka alone saw 3.6 lakh cases last year. The National Action Plan for Rabies Elimination by 2030 is in place, but stray dog populations are still a challenge due to poor sterilization and garbage management. It’s heartbreaking, and we need louder calls for mass vaccination and stricter local action to protect our kids," a third user added. "India doesn’t need horror movies. Just walk through your colony at night. Unleashed dogs, no lights, no help - and you’re the midnight snack," added a fourth user.
"The girl will be traumatized rest of her life, seeing Dogs," added a fifth user. "Stray animals are one of the major factors affecting livability and relatively a low-hanging fruit as an issue to solve," a sixth user added. "This is not about animal rights anymore, it's about human lives. Every child bitten is a policy failure. Strays must be managed humanely, but urgently," added another user.
