Delhi Metro Viral Video: In yet another Delhi metro shenanigan, an incident came forward, where an uncle earned the title of ‘Baahubali’ after he seemingly brought an alleged thief to his knees. Confused? Well, a man was allegedly caught stealing in the Delhi metro’s Kashmiri Gate Metro Station. In a bid to teach him a lesson, an uncle resorted to brutal slaps, despite the thief pleading and urging to stop. A video of the same was shared online, which went viral almost immediately. The incident left the internet divided as some were against the violence that was displayed, while some found it rather ‘justified’. The date of the matter could not be confirmed.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh b/w Uncle ji and Thief, a thief caught stealing purse Inside Delhi Metro and got beaten. Kashmiri Gate Metro Station, Delhi.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 448K views from people.

The video began to do rounds on social media after it was shared. Most people sided with the uncle for teaching the thief a lesson, while the rest were against the brutal violence against the thief and pointed out that the man should have been handed over to the police.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “The thief literally invested in buying a metro ticket to steal,” a user said. “I admit that the thief stole but he is apologizing, after that what is the point of beating him like this, you can hand him over to the police, no one has the right to beat him,” added a second person.

“Uncle jii neh khud ko bablu bhaiya smjh liya (Uncle ji imagined himself as Bahu Bali),” added a third person. “When the hands are folded and apologies are sought, that should be the end of the matter for such petty crimes,” commented a fourth user. “He should be handed over to CISF,” wrote another.
