Humanity entered a different type of comfort after ordering things online became a thing, eventually turning into a lifestyle. Now, almost everyone uses online platforms to buy a variety of items. From furniture to food, there’s almost nothing that one cannot find on the internet. Using the same service, a man ordered Makhana from the online shopping platform Flipkart, however, the comfort turned into trauma and stress when the man found some live bugs and insects in his snack. To make the experience further regretful, the man was unable to return them or file a refund. Taking to his social media, he shared about the incident with the internet community. The post instantly went viral as people had a lot to react to. The post was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘i_siddharthshah’. The post was captioned, “Order ID - OD429472725192584100 I ordered Farmley Premium Phool Makhana from #Flipkart. When I opened the package, I saw live bugs and little insects. It's horrible to go through this. Furthermore, there is no return policy for the product.”

The incident is now going viral as people had a mixed reaction over the matter. Some recalled their own instances where they faced similar issues after ordering food items online, while others asked the man to avoid buying such things from online platforms. A few also suggested to the man about ways through which he could get his return back.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Are you selling non-veg Makhana?” a user asked. “Bhai ek baat batao Yeh edible goods online Kon kharid ta hai? (Who buys edible goods online?)” asked a second person. “Neeche general store se le aate (You should have bought it from general store)” said a third person. “For non-returnable products, usually the companies ask to dispose of the item and they issue the refund. Try contacting them from different mediums like call or email. If still you are unable to connect with them then contact your bank and dispute the charge,” commented a fourth user. “Bro never order food products from Flipkart same happened to me. They sent an expired item,” added another.
