Viral Video: The entire point of food, until a few centuries ago, was more about survival and health. Eventually, humanity discovered the variety of tastes that they could achieve with a few experiments, which later turned into ‘unhealthy foods’ as people seemingly took things to an extreme level for certain dishes. Now, apart from the basic source of nutrients, food has become all about taste and presentation. And the same factors have also led humanity to consume unhealthy food in the guise of snacks and extreme sweets. Exemplifying something similar, a video was shared on social media, where a man cooked a milk cake out of an old roti. The recipe sure was creative but it still left a ‘bad taste’ in the mouths of the netizens.
The video, after being shared, went viral and left people reacting. Most claimed that the high sugar content made the rotis much more unhealthy, while the rest simply commented about the efforts used in making the said milk cake. Some also commented on rather preferring to eat the old roti as it is.
The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘taste the best’. The post was captioned, “Roti ki bilkul nayi recipe (new recipe using roti).” The clip was shared a while back and pulled more than a million likes from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Day 4 of ‘Unhealthifying’ a healthy food,” a user said. “Why would I ruin perfectly healthy food into something so unhealthy and high in sugar? I don't know about the taste, but this needs to stop. People are turning such a blind eye toward foods that are clearly killing us,” added a second person.
“Brother, who works so hard, we will eat it with tea after warming up. That will be much better,” added a third person. “It’s okay. Instead of doing so much work. We will simply put some salt in the roti and eat it up. Also, this is so much more unhealthy than the normal roti going old,” added a fourth user.
