One has to be extremely lucky to get an understanding employer at work. In fact, getting a boss that displays ‘basic humanity’ is also no less than a blessing for a majority of people. Proving that such bosses are usually rare, a man shared an incident on the internet, where his employer bluntly refused to address his health condition, which led the man to resign from the job in one of the most savage ways.

Taking to social media, a man shared a few screenshots of his Whatsapp chat with his employer. In the messages, it was seen that the man texted about his bad health and asked for a leave. However, the boss refused the request and instead asked for a doctor’s slip in order to grant the leave.

Reacting to the ‘insensitive’ take on the matter, the man was quick to remind the boss about the high bill that a doctor’s visit would cost him and later decided to resign in the most savage way. The post instantly went viral and received all kinds of praising reactions.

The post was shared on Reddit, by the handle ‘trustmebrotrust’. The post was titled, “It was a short week on the job lol.” The post further read, “Keep in mind i texted hours before my shift…. THEN on the job application it stated an hourly rate, which turned out to be false. instead its terrible comission rates no hourly. The day I interviewed, the person that was supposed to interview me, wasnt even there. I got my uniform smelling like straight KUSH lmfao so I decided to test the waters and call out.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “If it’s just a fever, you should be ok to come in and work- !?!? lmao. Nah, good on you for not going in while sick and also quitting,” a user said. “Given the context you’ve made a good choice. I don’t know how much a drs appointment would be where you are (and don’t know what your pay rate is when you call out sick) but the bait and switch with pay is the sort of thing that I’d walk out on if I had any alternative,” commented a next. “Welcome to late stage capitalism,” joined a third.

“In the UK I always found the doctor's note requirement to be annoying, especially when it's just a cold/flu you need to wait out and don't want to go anywhere. When someone pointed out to me that in the USA you have to pay for a doctor's note I realised it could be so much worse,” shared a next.
