Viral Video: India might flaunt its belief of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’- ‘Guest is God’- from time to time, but it sure is failing to follow the same belief that it so proudly flaunts. This is not us being harsh, but it's simply an analysis based on the increasing number of incidents that have come forward, where foreigners or tourists ended up in some of the most scary or terrifying situations created by desis. Adding another to the list, a video was shared on social media, which not only left Indians feeling embarrassed but also raised questions about the safety and security of people in general in the country. The clip showed a man touching the feet of a random foreigner woman, while she was posing for a camera nearby.

To make the entire questionable act further cringeworthy, the man then began to dance for an Instagram reel. As soon as the woman realised what was happening, she switched to her ‘revenge mode’ and showed middle fingers to the camera from which the man was being recorded. The video took place in front of Delhi’s one of the top tourist spots, the India Gate.

The dance video began to circulate soon after getting shared. Most people chastised the man for his behaviour and even tagged the authorities and demanded action against him, while the rest mocked the man for his ‘cringe dance’.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘VishalMalvi_’. The post was captioned, “Sorry if I sound rude here, par koi in Ch*pri ka mobile inse cheeno lo (Someone please take away their phones).” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 286K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “@DelhiPolice @gssjodhpur @Saurabh_MLAgk @AtishiAAP Is this the way to treat tourists in the capital region?” a user said. “Hehe, both are getting famous on social media right now,” added a second person. “Bro took ashirwad first from foreign mata,” added another.

“Why aren’t these people banned!” added another. “After TikTok was banned in India, people thought such things would stop. But, reels have taken that to the next level,” added a fifth person. “Bro took her blessings to turn on the cringe mode,” commented a sixth person. “What is wrong with people these days? This is just ridiculous,” added another.
