Mitchell Marsh Gets Brutally Trolled: After triggering billions in India over his ‘World Cup final astrology prediction’, Australian cricketer Mitchell Marsh yet again managed to fall into the wrong side of netizens after a picture of him posing with the World Cup Trophy was shared online. Yesterday, November 19, marked a sad day for Indians and the Indian national cricket team after the nation lost to Australia at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023. While the Indians consoled their team and lauded their overall performance, the Australian men’s cricket team celebrated the win. Amid this, Mitchell's picture with his feet on the WC Trophy went viral and instantly triggered many for ‘disrespecting’ the win. 

Taking to social media, netizens began to chastise and troll the cricketer for the ‘questionable’ picture and flooded the internet with their harsh criticism. Most called it a ‘disrespect’ to the win, while others commented on Marsh's way of ‘acknowledging’ his team’s win. 

“#Mitchelmarsh and @CricketAus . Such a disgusting thing that he put his legs on @cricketworldcup . Such a shame. Take some action against them @ICC . He would have respected the cup. Such a shameless behavior by him,” a user said.

“Maturity is when you realize that your culture is much richer than that of other countries. I’m proud of my country and my culture. #MitchellMarsh,” said a fourth.

“When too many world cups are being won by a team, this is the respect it gets,” added a next.

 
The 13th edition of the World Cup was hosted in India, which began on October 05 and culminated yesterday. The last teams to lock horns to bag the trophy were India and Australia, where the latter won by 6 wickets. The match was played in Gujarat's Narendra Modi Stadium, which was attended by some of the most prominent personalities in the country.
