Bhaker and Chopra ended up making the country proud at the Paris Olympics 2024, as the duo clinched three medals in total, where Manu bagged two bronze medals for pistol shooting, while Chopra won a silver for his marvellous Javelin throw. The country broke into celebrations over the wins, and it was during one of these celebrations that the winners met each other. A video of the two talking to each other with bright smiles was shared online, which went viral. Netizens began to point out that the two were being shy during their conversation. What happened next was some typical high school-like drama, only instead of a high school, it was the entire country that was involved.

As soon as the clip began to go viral, people started ‘shipping’ the duo together. A video of Neeraj talking to Bhakar’s mother only fueled the rumours further, where many were seemingly convinced that the two were talking about a ‘wedding’. However, Manu finally squashed the rumours as she spoke up about the matter in an interview with the news channel News 18 India, where she clarified that there was nothing going on as such.
