Lucknow-Barauni Express Viral Video: What started as a simple complaint about poor AC cooling on the Lucknow-Barauni Express ended with a shocking find: more than 150 liquor bottles hidden inside the train’s duct. The bizarre incident came to light at Lucknow station, leaving railway officials stunned. The drama unfolded on Tuesday when Vipin Kumar, a passenger in seat number 40 of the second AC coach (A-2), told staff that the AC wasn’t cooling properly. Technical workers boarded the train ahead of Budhwal to check the issue. But the moment they opened the AC duct, they pulled out paper-wrapped bottles. Once unwrapped, the bottles turned out to be liquor of the “Officer’s Choice” brand.
RPF and GRP teams were quickly called in, and the search expanded to the entire coach. Every duct was opened, and by the end of the inspection, over 150 bottles were found stuffed inside. According to RPF Lucknow Junction Inspector Amit Rai, the train was checked near Gonda, where a total of 22 packets of liquor were recovered. This is the first time such a haul has been caught at Lucknow station, and it all happened because of a simple AC complaint.

"Common passengers will not do such a thing. It can't be loaded when the train is in the station. It would have been loaded at the yard. So, railway officials are responsible for smuggling. Great service, Indian Railways," added a third user. "Banning liquor was for corruption. Black money to fund gundagardi. It was never for social upliftment," added a fourth user.
