Noida Man Viral Reddit Post: When a 26-year-old man from Noida moved to Bengaluru for work, he thought he was stepping into India’s ultimate tech dreamland. But one year later, his experience has left him completely disillusioned. Sharing his frustration in a detailed Reddit post, the man painted a harsh picture of the city that many young professionals admire from afar. He began by saying, “I’ve lived in Noida for 26 years,” and ever since moving to Bengaluru, he feels like returning home daily, but stays only because of the better pay.

His biggest complaint? The “extremely fake and shallow” culture. He claimed that in Bengaluru, “people only care about reel life, not real life,” and accused many of being obsessed with show-off lifestyles, fancy dogs, flashy cars, overpriced clothes, and expensive restaurants. The high cost of living was another major concern. According to him, even after spending Rs 2,000 at a restaurant, the food is average and the wait times are unbearable. “Why would you want to stand in a queue for half an hour?” he questioned.

The post also slammed the city’s poor public transport, garbage-littered streets, and unsafe vibe. “Bangalore is not safer in any way,” he wrote, even calling the locals “creepier” than those in Delhi. And of course, there was Bengaluru’s infamous traffic. He didn’t even bother to rant, just said it’s worse than you imagine.

The only thing he liked? “The weather is amazing! I love it, it’s perfect,” he admitted. Still, he warned that beyond a couple of years, the city might not feel like home. The post has gone viral, sparking mixed reactions, some agreeing with his views, others defending the city.

"I guess home is where the heart is. I moved to Noida from Bengaluru and I wish every day to go back. While I agree about the traffic and the recent dumbfuck fare hikes, it's still home. Here I hesitate to go out at even 4 PM without feeling the sun burning up my skin, there even at noo,n there's nothing. But that's what it's home and I miss it," a Reddit user wrote.

"No one said Bangalore is better than Noida. Noida is far better in infrastructure and living standards. But Bangalore has better pay and opportunities, so can’t deny that," a second user wrote. "If you don’t mind traditional social norms, moral policing, and reduced protection of democratic rights, then Noida is better in every way—except weather and air quality. It has better roads, less traffic, fewer outages, and is way cheaper," a third user added.
