Pink Pigeon Goes Viral: One can completely rely on the internet when it comes to coming across some of the most peculiar happenings across the world. Joining the bandwagon, a pigeon from the UK recently left the social media community amused. Unlike other birds from its family, this pigeon made headlines for its pink colour. The bird's pictures were shared on social media and soon went viral on the internet. While some people found the bird beautiful, others pointed out the possibility of it being dyed and called it cruel. 

The post was shared on social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the user ‘Harriet Heywood’. The post was captioned, “Has anyone else seen this pink pigeon in Bury and does anyone know why it is pink?!” In the post, the user shared two pictures of the peculiar pigeon. The bird was pink and appeared natural in colour.

The post instantly went viral and left the internet amused. Most people pointed out that the pigeon was probably dyed pink for a function like the gender reveal parties, while others called the practice cruel and counted it under animal cruelty. A user also commented that the bird was used in a wedding. The post was shared a few days back and has been viewed 11.8K times by the netizens.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “When I worked in Miles Platting there were bright blue ones that had become dyed by the nearby paint factory,” a user said. “Yeah I saw it last week on the rock,” added a second person. “Pigeons can be pink, they are rare but do exist,” commented a third netizen. “I saw it on Monday. Apparently they release them at weddings,” pointed out a fourth person. “Believe it was used in a gender reveal hence the hot pink. Seen several times,” added another. “Someone has probably dyed it for some function or something, which is simply too sad,” said a fifth person. “When will people understand that colouring animals for fun is animal cruelty,” said the next.
