Radhika Merchant Pre-Wedding Speech: Five days after one of the most expensive pre-wedding events stole all the spotlight on social media, the bride-to-be’s speech made a comeback on the headlines for a unique and ‘filmy’ reason. The ‘Ambani Empire’ threw another gala event as business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s youngest son, Anant Ambani, celebrated his bond with fiance Radhika Merchant at their pre-wedding bash. The 3-day festivities were held from March 01 to March 03 in a city that is way too close to the family’s heart, Gujarat’s Jamnagar.
At the wedding, the adorable couple gave heartwarming speeches that not only melted the family’s heart but also stole the hearts of many on social media. However, five days after the celebrations, the bride’s speech went viral for a second time, and the reason is a mix of ‘funny and adorable’.
Netizens, being the ‘sharp observers’ that they are, were quick to compare Merchant’s speech with the beautiful dialogues by Susan Sarandon’s character from her movie ‘Shall We Dance?’. The comparison divided the internet as some called it adorable, while others found it funny.

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral on social media. Most people found it hilarious yet adorable, while the rest sided with her and pointed out that the lines might be the bride-to-be’s favourite. The post was shared a day ago and pulled 19K likes from people.

Taking to the comment section, netizens shared their take. “What's wrong with that? Don't we all relate to these movie dialogues?” a user said. “Stealing from Susan Sarandon is still respectable. At least she has good taste,” said a second person. “That's quite a catch from the internet. After making the entire world feel inferior with their ridiculous expense, we finally realise that the Ambani family is one of our own,” added a third user.
“What is the problem if she took the dialogue exactly from the scene? Many do that... I am also planning on taking lines from different movies despite being a writer myself because those dialogues have tugged at my heart's strings... Let's not be so quick to judge and make fun of no matter if it's a celebrity or your next-door neighbour,” said the fourth person.
“Who knows this could be one of her favourite scenes and while she was growing up she visualised saying this each time she watched it. Look at the brighter side instead of bashing people online,” added the rest.
