Himachal School Principal Viral News: People usually laugh at memes online but this time a cheque has taken over social media. A government school principal from Himachal Pradesh is in the spotlight after a cheque worth Rs 7,616 bounced, not because of a lack of funds but because of shocking spelling errors. The cheque, which should have read ‘Seven thousand six hundred sixteen’, ended up being written as ‘Sevan Thursday six Harendra sixty’. This bizarre spelling has left the internet stunned and amused at the same time.
According to reports, the cheque was issued to a mid-day meal worker named Atter Singh and was dated September 25. But due to the incorrect spellings, the bank naturally rejected it, causing the cheque to bounce.
The post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘I_love_himachal’ highlighted the incident. The post read, “Rs 7,616- Seven Thursday Six Harendra Sixty Rupees Only. The cheque of Rs 7,616 issued by the principal of the Government Senior Secondary School located in Ronhat, Sirmaur, is making headlines. More than the amount, this check has gone viral because of its words.”
Within two days, the post gained approximately 4k views and sparked debates online. Many netizens questioned the qualifications of the principal, while others couldn’t stop laughing at the strange spellings.
"This is the standard of our teachers in government schools," a user wrote. "This is the condition of the masters, which is why no one wants to send their children to government schools. It pains people like us who studied in government schools ourselves. Well, system change is happening everywhere, so why should schools be left behind?" a second user wrote.
"It seems this is not genuine. A common knowledge of the spelling of thousands, hundreds, etc. Something doubt," wrote a third user. "He should be terminated and sent back to school to study," added a fourth user. "Reservation hataodeshbachao," added another user.
