Shannon Sharpe Instagram Live Controversy: American former professional football tight end, Shannon Sharpe- who has mostly made headlines for his excellent gameplay- is back in the spotlight, only the reason is rather ‘embarrassing’ this time. ‘Why’, you ask? Well, the NFL Hall Of Famer unfortunately ended up falling into a controversy a while back, and keeping in mind the man’s huge fandom, the matter quickly went global as fans all around the world reeled in to know more. The controversy revolved around an explicit Instagram Live, which went viral as Sharpe was heard being engaged in some private activities during the said Live. As the matter began to hit trends, the NFL legend claimed that his account was hacked. However, just recently, Sharpe opened up about the controversy and made a sizzling yet ‘embarrassing’ confession that stole all the spotlight on social media.
While addressing the matter at the Nightcap podcast, Sharpe admitted that the account was not hacked and the sex video controversy was rather a result of him accidentally going Live while he was involved in his ‘activity’. It was only after going Live- which was heard by millions- he began to receive calls about the IG Live. “Obviously I am embarrassed. Someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details – the audio – heard for the entire world to hear, I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons,” the athlete was heard saying.
“I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity. I did not know IG live. I’ve never turned IG live on so I don’t know how it works and all of sudden my other phone started going off,” he was further heard saying at the podcast.
The video was shared on Instagram, on the handle of the podcast. The post was shared yesterday and already pulled more than 56K likes from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “He’s human, mistakes happen. He was at home, unfortunately, this phone technology can be your greatest ally or your worst enemy. It just depends on the day. I really don’t believe he owed anyone an apology, stuff happens,” a user said.
“2024 has been the most non-serious year ever & I blame Katt Williams,” added a second person. “Staged the whole thing just to sell T-shirts..and was growling out a female name to make it believable,” wrote a third person. “I’m starting every serious conversation off with- We humans, we all partake in vertical and horizontal activities,” added another.
Coming back to the former NFL star, it seems like a certain unexpected organisation also noticed the incident and came up with a unique ‘offer’. As per TMZ Sports, a porn website- The Porn Dude- has offered the athlete work in exchange of a ‘solid USD 100,000’.
“We would love to offer him a solid $100,000," the website told TMZ Sports. “To see him avoid the t**s and p**** defence and see him score the ultimate BBC touchdown on our set,” the website further added, as per reports.
