New Yorkers and people in Dublin, even if just for a brief moment, experienced a sci-fi-like movie plot- thanks to the futuristic-looking portals that were installed in both metropolitan cities. The said portals looked exactly how they sounded, but instead of giving an ‘entryway’ to both cities, they displayed a 24/7 running livestream. The idea went viral as people were intrigued to meet and greet each other through screens, UNTILL, some began doing questionable things, leading to the portal getting shut down. However, the idea of portals already went viral across the world, leading to some desis demanding the same for India and Pakistan.

A social media post went viral, where an internet user suggested the same for India and Pakistan, which surprisingly received a lot of support and some hilarious responses. The New York and Dublin portals, on the other hand, were closed when people began to show ‘swastikas’ and the ‘9/11 attack’ images on their mobile phones. Apart from these, a woman also flashed her breasts on the screen.

The post was shared online and went viral almost immediately. Most people shared hilarious jokes and possible chaos that might be caused due to the portal, while the rest agreed to the request and called it a much-needed step.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘1luvurm0m’. The post was captioned, “Install a portal between India and Pakistan PLEASE.” The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than a million views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Delhi and Lahore or something please,” added a user. “There is so much smog in both the cities that no one will be able to see anything on either side,” wrote a second person. “Coke once did like 10 years ago. There's a video on YouTube. It was so wholesome,” pointed out a third person.

“I'm thinking about what desi aunties are gonna do,” added a fourth user. “Because I wanna see u from the portal is what people will be saying to each other,” wrote a fifth person. “Pakistan will blow up the portal thinking it's India,” added another. “Aunties are gonna become friends and then meet there to discuss handi recipes and talk crap about their susraal,” commented another.
