Snake On Pizza: In a unique attempt to bring modern pizza together with a centuries-old Chinese dish, traditional snake stew soup, Hong Kong Pizza Hut is all set to introduce a new and peculiar pizza. Adding snake meat as the pizza topping on the new pizza, the popular food outlet has introduced ‘Snake Pizza’ for people. The 9-inch pizza will have shredded snake meat, black mushrooms, and Chinese dried ham, according to a report by CNN. The said ingredients play a major role in the preparations of the traditional Chinese snake stew. The sauce used for this particular pizza will also be different from the usual tomato sauce, where the 'abalone sauce' will be used as a base for the Snake Pizza. The pizza will be on sale till November 22, according to the reports. “Paired with cheese and diced chicken, the snake meat becomes richer in taste,” read the statement by Hong Kong Pizza Hut.

The snake stew is a popular dish in China and nearby nations that people have been consuming for a long period of time. The dish has its own health benefits, due to which it is recommended for more reasons than one. From improving ‘skin conditions’ to 'warming up the body', the Snake stew is especially a preferred meal for winters, as per CNN reports. Apart from that, the reptile is reportedly considered the best to consume at the end of the autumn, when they get ready to hibernate.

The centuries-old restaurant with which the brand is reportedly collaborating for the iconic combination, is Ser Wong Fun. The Snake Restaurant dates back to 1895 and is in Central Hong Kong.
