Viral Video: Leaving half the desi side of the internet deeply nostalgic, a video of some students dancing at a school event was shared on social media. The students, who were all girls in beautiful red Anarkali suits, danced to one of the greatest songs the Indian TV industry- and even the cinema industry- has ever come across; ‘Hai Katha Sangram Ki’ from the TV series ‘Mahabharat’. For those unaware, despite the show airing more than a decade ago, it still is preached as one of the most loved projects that audiences watched on their television screens. A classical dance performance on such a hailed song at a school event only left people impressed with the song selection and the choreography.
The hit track ‘Hai Katha Sangram Ki’ was from the hit Hindi TV series ‘Mahabharat’. The series was based on the much-hailed Hindu epic ‘Mahabharat’. The 267-episode show aired in January 2014, and ran for almost 8 months, before ending in August the same year.
The dance video, after getting shared, pulled all kinds of reactions. Most people loved the dance and appreciated the performance being apt for a school. While the rest recalled their own school performances and events.
The video was shared on YouTuber, by the handle ‘CREATOR’.
