Teachers are hailed as a god by many, and correctly so with the professionals proving their worth to the world time and again. Teachers are also the ones who shape the future of the children. Becoming the very testimony of the same, a video is going viral on the internet from a remote area in Chhattisgarh. 

The clip, shared by the news agency ANI, showed a dedicated teacher, Karmila Toppo, crossing a river to reach her school. The primary school teacher from Chhattisgarh's Dhaurpur is surely setting some praise-worthy examples for people. Prioritising the future of her students, Toppo said that she crosses two rivers on her way while going to school.

"Here there are 2 rivers on my way which I cross. There is no other way. I come everyday for the future of the children," Karmila Toppo said in the video: WATCH HERE

As seen in the clip, the depth of the river varied from area to area. In some parts, Tappo can be seen walking in feet-deep water while in some areas the water level is near her waist. She was then seen interacting with her students in the viral clip where the little ones were planting trees. The river was comparatively shallow, but one can imagine the dangers that it can possess after a strong downpour.

Hailing the teacher, the netizens started commenting their views in the comment box. "We are proud that our country has such dedicated women teachers and we are ashamed and regretful that there is a lack of facilities. Chhattisgarh government should work immediately to solve this problem. Long live India!" a user wrote. 

"Hats off to your courage and your spirit, I wish today's so-called Guruji were like you, as then India's education system would not have been so dilapidated today. Greetings to you again," another user commented.

Taking cognisance of the matter, Balrampur Collector Remigius Ekka, also lauded the teacher's boldness. "Surely this teacher is doing her work very sincerely. I would expect similar work from other teachers as well. Other teachers should also be loyal to their duty and reach school on time," Ekka was quoted saying as per ANI.
