In an unusual robbery, a man stole a bicycle worth $1,300 from a house after playing with and petting the household’s dog. The video of the incident was shared by the San Diego Police as they began searching for the culprit. Although it’s a robbery case, the netizens still found the dog’s behaviour cute and the incident funny. The post is going viral on the internet. Taking to social media, the police also urged the people to contact them if they came across the thief or if they have any other information related to the same.

The Instagram post was shared on the official handle of the San Diego Police Department. The caption read in detail about the incident and also described the culprit’s appearance. “On July 15, 2023, at approximately 10:40 pm, an unknown white male suspect entered a garage in the Pacific Beach neighborhood. The individual made off with a 2019 black Electra 3-speed bicycle valued at approximately $1,300. This isn't your average bike; it's distinct, featuring “8-ball” caps on the tire valves, an "8-ball" logo on the frame, and a rear wheel frame marked with a checkered black and white pattern,” the caption read.

In the video, a man casually entered a garage that had a lot of bicycles. As the burglar was about to leave with a bicycle, the household’s pet dog entered the garage and started playing around the man. The thief then got off the bicycle and started playing with the furry guard. After petting the pet for a considerable period of time, the man left with the bicycle and the pet was seen staring at the man. At the end of the video, the dog was seen leaving the garage as it ran behind the thief.
