Mahakumbh Mela 2025: The Mahakumbh Mela 2025 has officially started today after 144 years, on the auspicious occasion of Paush Purnima, marking the first 'snan' (holy bath) of this grand event. Devotees from across the world have gathered in large numbers to celebrate this much-awaited festival. Taking a holy bath during the Kumbh Mela holds great significance, as it is believed to cleanse one's sins and bring spiritual blessings. The festival began today and will continue for 45 days, with February 26 marking its conclusion.
As Mahakumbh becomes the center of global attention, the festival is witnessing tributes and celebrations worldwide. Google India has also joined the festivities by offering a special floral tribute to honour the Mahakumbh and its devoted participants.

About Mahakumbh 2025:
The much-awaited Mahakumbh Mela 2025 began today with the first holy dip (snan) on Paush Purnima. Despite the foggy and cold weather, a large number of devotees gathered to take a sacred dip in the holy waters.
This is just the beginning, as five more significant shahi snans are scheduled during the festival. These include:

Makar Sankranti on January 14
Mauni Amavasya on January 29
Basant Panchami on February 3
Maghi Purnima on February 12
Mahashivratri on February 26
