Indian Railways Viral Video: Mostly when pickpockets and other such miscreants are caught in a public place, people hardly shy away from at least a ‘light’ public thrashing, justifying the violence as ‘justice’. However, the internet was rather horrified when a similar fate was faced by a young boy on a train. The boy was brutally beaten up by a man for allegedly stealing a phone on the train, a video of which was shared on social media. But the level at which the kid was getting thrashed seemed rather unfair to netizens as they chastised the man for ‘taking law’ in his hand and being violent against a child. Most acknowledged the crime that the kid committed but suggested involving the police instead.
In the video, the poor kid was seen crying and explaining himself, whereas the man beating him up held onto the boy’s hair. The exact location and the date of the matter could not be confirmed.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh over this Young Kid Got Caught Stealing Mobile Phone of Passengers inside Indian Railways.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 756K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Even if he has stolen, you should not treat him so badly,” a user said. “That kid may be done wrong but it doesn't matter that this is how you'll treat him,” added a second person. “While he has committed a crime, let the police handle it. He seems to be just a kid,” commented a third.
“A few days ago, I saw a video in public where a guy was stabbing a girl, and she died on the spot. No one dared to step in and stop him. But when a small kid was caught stealing a phone from passengers, everyone jumped on him and beat him up like crazy,” added another. “He should have been handed over to the police. Don't take the law into your hands, It is not right to beat such a small child,” added another.
