Viral Video: Bridging the state’s law and order situation under scrutiny, an incident from Uttar Pradesh went viral on social media, where a policeman was brutally assaulted in the middle of a road. A video of the same was also shared online, which went viral. The matter, as per the post, unfolded at a temple in Kushinagar, where an ugly clash broke out between two groups of people. The reason behind the clash was not clarified, however, it was this clash that the said cop was trying to stop, only to get thrashed in return. As per the post, one of the groups began to hit the cop instead, whereas the rest of the people watched the incident unfold. The date of the incident could not be confirmed.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Jhagdaa’. The post was captioned, “While visiting the fair at Sidhua temple, two groups quarrelled and fought with each other. During this, one group misbehaved and assaulted a policeman. The viral video is being said to be from Kushinagar, UP!” The video was shared today and pulled many views.

The video received all kinds of reactions. Most commented on the law and order situation of UP, while the rest demanded action. Some also joked about wanting to hear the side of the police officer.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Now we have to see the climax, those who had to put the wood have done it, now let's see what happens next,” a user said. “Now now. People doing Kalesh with policemen is my new favourite thing. I mean it's risky but fun to watch,” added a second person.

“I am waiting for part 2. From the police side. Please do post that. Hope we will get some justice done for the policeman,” added a fourth user. “Kon kehta hai UP me Gundai khatam ...? (Who said that hoolism has ended in UP) This should be stopped, after all, police are for our safety,” added another person.
