People on social media are once again hooked to a strange new trend: videos of magical haircut pods that promise a perfect hairstyle in seconds. At first glance, these clips look straight out of a sci-fi movie. A person leans into a pod, their hair gets pulled in for a moment, and suddenly they walk out with a clean, sharp hairstyle. The creators of these posts even refer to it as an 'AI Haircut Machine 3.0', which makes it look even more credible.
Various social media platforms are flooded with similar videos. Another video shared on Instagram by the user @luxuryhairbarber.dxb shows a similar scene. In the video, a shiny helmet-like gadget can be seen moving around a man's head, as if scanning and trimming his hair all by itself. The smooth movement and quick result make it look like a real machine from the future.
Interestingly, both videos mention Dubai, and many people instantly assumed this high-tech device actually exists there. But here’s the twist: the Dubai haircut machine is not real at all. Both videos were made using AI, not any real-life technology. While some users believed the clips without hesitation, others reacted with humorous comments after discovering the truth.

The video shared on Instagram received many comments from users. One user wrote, "It's fake. It is a misleading AI video." "Will never try this now or in the future, it gives a sense of Final Destination," a second user wrote. "Barber's job is in danger. One of the videos of machines taking over humans," wrote a third user. "As long as science and the universe exist, machines and technology will be created for every service except hairdressing services," added a fourth user.
"They didn't even touch the whiskey, but it's so clear there," a fifth user wrote. "Genetic haircut differs and only business that asks for no return," added another user. "Irony at its peak AI-generated video talking about things being done through AI," wrote another user. "It is physically impossible to do the full cut on such limit of time without hurting a person," added another user.
What makes this even more interesting is how easy it has become to create such visuals. Today, anyone can use AI tools to make realistic videos, animations, or even voiceovers within minutes. No fancy equipment, no special training, just creativity and a few taps on a screen. That’s exactly how believable these viral haircut pod videos turned out to be.
