Hathras Viral Video: A strange and shocking scene played out at a petrol pump in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, leaving both the staff and the internet stunned. In the early hours of July 31, a man drove up to a fuel station on Jalesar Road, got his petrol tank filled, and suddenly zoomed off, without paying a single rupee. But that’s not all. As he rushed to flee, he snapped the fuel nozzle right off the machine, damaging the pump badly. Petrol station workers tried to run after him, but he was too quick and got away.
Later, the staff informed the local police, and a case was filed for theft and property damage. When officers checked the CCTV footage, they spotted how the nozzle was pulled off. It was later found 2 km away from the station. The video of this reckless act was shared by X user '@gyanu999'. Many users reacted strongly, calling it a 'reckless theft' and slamming the driver’s behaviour. As of now, the man behind the wheel is still missing, and the investigation is still going on.

One user wrote, "Sad news: The owner of the petrol pump will deduct the loss from workers' salaries for no reason." "Lmao this is why license plates are a thing," a second user added. "Zero civic sense," added a third user.
"We sell petrol to Bhutan, but they sell it for Rs 66 per litre. Dacoity in the form of duty and tax. Trump is right in saying, India is the biggest abuser of duties and tariffs," a fourth user added. "Government is earning Rs 55-70 as tax per litre of petrol. No questions asked. Per barrel of crude oil was way more expensive as compared to now for Dr Singh, but the price was way less," added another user.

"Do these people not realise nowadays there are CCTV cameras everywhere and that they can be traced by the police in a few minutes and then they have to pay triple, quadruple the amount as a fine than what they had to pay for the 5-6 litres of petrol," a sixth user added. "This is wrong on so many levels. If petrol leaks from the machine and a spark occurs due to friction from the breaking the pipe, it could lead to a massive fire or even an explosion," added another user.
