Viral Video: Bringing back the age-old ‘barter system’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Vrindavan, the temple monkeys are back in the spotlight after they successfully executed a ‘high-level’ exchange of ‘goods’ with a ‘poor’ human. A video of the same incident was shared online, which went viral in a blink of an eye. The video showed a few monkeys sitting on a temple roof with a stolen iPhone. But what amused people more than the theft, was that the furry thieves only returned the phone after they were offered a pack of Frooti, a sweet beverage.

Such incidents have witnessed a drastic surge in recent years, where monkeys stole something valuable from humans and returned the belongings only after being offered something edible in exchange.

The post was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘sevak_of_krsna’. The post was captioned, “Vrindavan’s Monkeys.”
