Viral Video: Keeping his promise that he made to a 9-year-old kid, Sriram, on a train from Thrissur to Kozhikode, Union IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar gifted a laptop to the kid as his advanced New Year gift. The 9-year-old, during their journey, had shown his videos to the Union minister that he made with the help of his laptop. It was here when the minister promised a new laptop to the kid. A video of the kid receiving the laptop was shared online, which immediately went viral. Most people loved the gesture and hailed the IT minister for his thoughtfulness. 

The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), by the new agency ANI. It was captioned, Kochi, Kerala: Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar sent a laptop for Sriram, a class 4th student whom he once met while travelling in the Vandebharat train and promised to give him a laptop”.

It was then reshared by the IT Minister as well. “I had met young 9-year-old Sriram on a train ride from Thrissur to Kozhikode and he had proudly shown me his creative videos done on his laptop. I had promised him a new laptop and today he gets his New Year gift in advance - a brand new Laptop! My best wishes to him & his family and may he continue to study, succeed, and make his family proud,” read his reshared post. 

The posts are going viral on the internet, as people loved the IT Minister's gestures. Many also hailed him for keeping his promise and not forgetting about the kid. Rest expressed about their great wishes for the boy and his career ahead. The video was shared yesterday and pulled 165K views from people.
