Viral Video: In West Delhi, Karwa Chauth celebrations took an unusual twist as a group of women gathered to enjoy the festival in their own style. While the festival is traditionally a sacred day when married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the well-being of their husbands, these women decided to kick off the day with laughter, mehndi and a touch of twist.

In a video that went viral, the women can be seen sitting in a circle, talking and enjoying each other's company while sporting beautiful henna designs on their hands. The video has received over a million views. The highlight was a man helping them pass around a hookah, which added a contemporary touch to the traditional gathering.

As per the reports, a woman, who was there for mehndi, says, "Every year we come here, not just for the designs, but for the vibe. It’s really enjoyable to see the interactions between husband and wife..."
