Kolkata Viral Video: Festivals often bring joy and excitement but sometimes celebrations can spark debate instead. A video of a 'Durga Puja Celebration' inside a corporate office in Kolkata has divided the internet, with people sharing a mix of opinions. In the viral clip, the office floor is decorated for the festival and employees can be seen dancing, singing along to songs or simply enjoying the festive vibe while recording it on their phones. At first glance, it looks cheerful and full of energy but not everyone was convinced.
Many netizens felt the whole event looked 'forced' than a real celebration. Some argued that instead of arranging such events, companies should give employees a holiday or even a bonus. Others went deeper, pointing out how corporate culture in India often normalises long working hours with low pay and that focusing on better work-life balance would be more meaningful than 'hollow celebrations.'
