Yes, the much-praised IPL season is on, and an excited ‘yes’ for Chennai Super Kings’ next match that has been scheduled for the coming Sunday, April 28. However, for Thala it seems, the priority is to get Rs 600, so that he can take a bus to get out of Ranchi. Confused? Well, an Instagram ID by the name of ‘MS Dhoni’ is going viral for a text, as per which, Mahi is stuck in Ranchi and needs Rs 600 to get out of there on an urgent basis!

Well, if you haven't already guessed it by now- it of course is a new scam that scammers tried to pull, only this one went viral on a much lighter note because of its hilarious approach.

The scam in question was shared on social media, where the said Insta text read, “Hi I'm MS Dhoni, I'm messaging you from a private account. I am in Ranchi outskirts and I have forgotten my wallet Can you PhonePe me 600* so I can return home by bus, and will send it back once I get home.” The scammer also shared a selfie of the cricketer, with another text reading, “My selfie for proof.” The scammer ended the note with ‘Whistle podu’, at the end. Surely was thoughtful!

The post immediately went viral and gained people's reactions. It was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Out Of Context Cricket’.

Most people found the text hilarious, yet alerted each other to not fall for such scams, while the rest expressed concerns over the increasing number of scammers and scams in India in the past few months. Many also found the addition of the text ‘Whistle podu’ funny. The post was shared today and pulled 214K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, netizens shared their hilarious views. “Whistle podu at where the dude has proved authenticity,” added another. “Why did he add whistle podu at the end bdw,” commented a second person. “Write ‘I support RCB’, Problem Solved,” joked a third user. “Scammer thinks he is the best. Also, how are these scammers getting so creative with every passing day? What the hell,” added another.

Why aren’t these people working on coming up with better ideas than doing such clever scams to people,” added another.
