A woman in the US was held for making her 7-week-old baby drink alcohol. The mother was reportedly trying to stop her infant from crying, so she filled the baby’s bottle with alcohol. The incident took place on August 5 in Rialto, 55 miles east of Los Angeles, where the Deputies were called around 12:45 AM, according to the New York Post. The baby was found in an inebriated state by the authorities.

The 37-year-old mother, Honesti de La Torre, has been charged with child endangerment and is being held in the West Valley Detention Center on a $60,000 bond, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department informed. According to the officials, the woman stopped mid-driving in Rialto to commit the questionable act.

The incident is now going viral on social media as the woman has left people shocked with her parenting method. The baby has been hospitalised and is receiving treatment, while the condition of the infant has not been revealed yet by the authorities. This week, the mother is expected to appear before the court over the matter, according to reports.
