Aurangabad Ramleela Viral Video: On Dussehra, the vibrant energy of Ramleela performances comes across India. These plays, based on the epic Ramayana, showcase the story of Lord Ram, Sita and Ravan, usually ending with the dramatic burning of Ravan’s statue. However, a recent performance in Aurangabad has sparked controversy online. A video shared on Instagram shows a woman dancing in a way many call inappropriate. In the viral video, the woman can be seen performing while sitting on the lap of a person playing Ravan, grooving to the Bollywood song Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2.
At one point, currency notes are thrown into the air. The clip has raised eyebrows because children were reportedly present during the act. While most Ramleela performances stick to traditional scripts, this particular act has triggered debates about what is considered acceptable during cultural festivals.

"We’ve reduced Dharma to empty celebration. Remember: what we do for enjoyment becomes culture, and culture becomes religion. Our true Hindu faith is slipping away," a user wrote. "Are Hindus brain-dead? There is no one to guide them. What is Useless Vishwaguru & his sarkar doing other than spreading hate," a second user wrote.
"Mocking with vulgar display of ignorance and perversion. Hindus are hellbent on destroying Hinduism. Pathetic," wrote a third user. "Such incidents diminish the seriousness of religious and cultural events and make a mockery of them," added another user.
