Viral Video: Flowers, centerpieces, ice sculptures, and whatnot, you name it and the wedding planning industry already has it when it comes to gala event decorations. However, despite all the artistice options, some people in India still choose humans as ‘decoration’ at their weddings or other events. In the past few years, videos and such have surfaced online, where people, especially women, were seen wearing weird costumes as they posed as ‘decorative pieces’ at weddings. Joining the list, another video went viral, where a woman donning a dress full of lights and bells was seen getting clicked with ‘excited’ guests at a wedding.
As soon as the clip began to do rounds on the internet, netizens were left angry over the practice and called out the same as they dubbed it ‘demeaning’. The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the user ‘Neena Kapoor’. The post was captioned, “This girl needs lots of blessings.”

The video is doing rounds on social media and left most people irked. Many chastised the practice of using living creatures as decoration at events, while others expressed their sympathy for the girl who was reduced to a mere decorative piece. Some also spoke against the people who were getting clicked with her, as the girl evidently seemed uncomfortable. The video was shared a while ago and pulled 58K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Her face says it all, she didn't want to be recorded,” a user said. “Why do people use humans or animals as decoration in events? Especially in an event like a marriage. This is wrong on so many levels,” said a second person. “People are even clicking pictures with her as if using her as decoration was not enough already,” commented a third. “Things like these should be banned. This is just so sad, I feel sad for her and angry at people who thought this would be okay,” added a fourth.
“What's going on? Never seen that before,” a user said. “Why have they dressed her up like a Christmas tree,” said another.
