India successfully launched Chandrayaan on 14th July 2023. It was a follow-up mission of Chandrayaan 2.
Ritu Karidhal is an ISRO scientist who is leading ISRO’s ambitious mission Chandrayaan-3.
Ritu was always interested in Space sciences and loved gazing at the night sky. She used to collect newspaper cuttings about any space-related activities of ISRO or NASA.
She pursued MSc in Physics in 1996 from Lucknow University
After that, she completed her degree of MTech from Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru.
She is an expert in Aerospace. She used to teach in the same division as a research fellow at Lucknow University.
In 2007, Karidhal was awarded the ISRO Young Scientist Award by the then-president of India A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
