The India-Pakistan border, also known as the International Border (IB), is 3,323 km long. It stretches from Jammu and Kashmir in the north to Gujarat.
A total of five Indian states and Union Territories share the border with Pakistan. They are: Jammu and Kashmir (UT), Ladakh (UT), Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Jammu and Kashmir shares one of the disputed borders with Pakistan, known as the Line of Control (LOC). It is bounded by Pakistan in the southwest and by PoK in the northwest.
Ladakh is bounded by Pakistan in the Gilgit-Baltistan area, called the Actual Ground Position Line. It is a high-altitude area and remains accessible.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs Data, Punjab is in the northwestern part of India. It shares a border with Pakistan, known as the Wagah-Attari Border.
Rajasthan, the largest state in India in terms of area, is surrounded by Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab Province. The border also touches the Thar Desert.
Gujarat is located in the western part of India and is bordered by Pakistan in the northwestern region. The border runs through the Rann of Kutch and goes to the Zero Point.
