Nagaland, in the Northeastern region of India, has English as its official language. The language was adopted by the State Assembly in 1967.
Apart from Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Sikkim also have English as their official language. In Mizoram, Mizo and Hindi are also spoken.
