Bangladesh Violence: Amid rising attacks against Hindus and other minorities in the violence-hit country, Bangladesh's interim leader Muhammad Yunus has called for a meeting with Hindu students and youth on Monday (August 12). As the conflict deepened, the Yunus-led interim government stated that the discussion would focus on resolving the current crisis and ensuring the protection of the Hindu community.
This comes after the minority Hindu community in the violence-hit nation took to the streets on Sunday to protest against the rising attacks on their homes, shops, and temples soon after Sheikh Hasina resigned as prime minister and fled to India.
Lakhs of people attended the rallies in Chittagong, the country's second-largest city, and Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, demanding protection and justice.
