A dramatic footage has emerged from a railway station in Bangladesh showing a moment where a father and his infant son fell onto the tracks as a moving train passed over them. But both survived in a miraculous escape without serious injuries. The father managed to effectively protect his child by holding him tightly and shielding him as the train passed.
Father Saves Son On Railway Tracks
According to a report by the Daily Sun, the family was travelling on the Titas commuter train from Brahmanbaria to Bhairab. The train was late, and when it started moving again, the father tried to get off while holding his baby. At that moment, the baby slipped and fell into the gap between the train and the platform.
The father immediately jumped down to save his child. He held the baby tightly and lay flat against the platform wall while eight coaches of the moving train passed over them. Both of them survived safely. A train staff member said the father reacted very quickly and protected the child by pressing himself against the wall as the train passed.
Netizens React To Viral Video
Other passengers also helped the child’s mother get off the train safely. People at the station were shocked and rushed to help after the train passed. Videos of the incident have gone viral, and many people are praising the father for his quick thinking and bravery.
A user wrote, “Give him the award of the best father of the year.” Another user wrote, “That is some unbelievable quick thinking. Most people would have frozen in terror, but that father's instinct to shield his child while a train literally passes over them is the definition of a hero. Beyond a miracle that they both walked away unharmed. Humanity at its best.”
