After protests by members of civil society and several other organisations in Delhi, Hindus in Canada too staged protests against atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh.
Toronto witnessed a powerful demonstration on Wednesday as members of the Canadian Hindu community gathered outside the Bangladeshi Consulate against the ongoing violence in Dhaka.
The protest brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, unified in their call for global intervention against what they described as a "systematic campaign of genocide" targeting the Hindu minority in Bangladesh.

They also accused the Bangladeshi government led by Muhammad Yunus of orchestrating widespread violence and discrimination against Hindus.
The social media handle, X of Canadian Hindu Volunteers expressed that the silence of the international community is deafening, "This is not just a crisis, it is an organised and deliberate assault on human rights and religious freedom. The global community must act now before it is too late," the post said.
The protesters chanted slogans with banners in their hands written: "Shame Shame Bangladesh", "Mohammed Younus A Murderer", "Hindu Lives Matter and 'Stop Hindu Genocide.'

The protesters also appealed to the Canadian government and the international community to press the Bangladeshi Government to protect Hindus and other minorities.
Speaking to ANI, a protester said, "What's happening is in Bangladesh they're genociding Hindus, they're assaulting our women, they're raping our children, they're doing whatever they can because the Hindus are a minority and they're trying to overrun the Hindu minorities. That's what they have done in Pakistan, they have done in Afghanistan, now they're trying to do in Bangladesh. We are here to support our brothers and sisters all over the world to unite and show our concern."
Bangladesh has been witnessing unrest amid continuous attacks on Hindus. There also have been cases of arson and looting of minorities' homes and vandalism and desecration of deities and temples.
