German Christmas Market Attack: Billionaire Elon Musk criticized the German government following a car-ramming attack at a crowded Christmas market in Germany’s Magdeburg that resulted in five deaths and over 200 injuries. He accused the government of displaying "suicidal empathy" in its handling of the situation.

Musk referred to the 50-year-old Saudi doctor, Taleb A, who was granted asylum by Germany in 2006, as a "lunatic" after he was accused of being involved in terrorism and human trafficking. Musk said he should not have been allowed to enter the country. Instead, Musk suggested that the doctor should be extradited back to Saudi Arabia to face the alleged charges.

"Yeah, he was obviously a lunatic who should never have been allowed to enter Germany and should have been extradited when Saudi Arabia made the request. Suicidal empathy by the German government," Musk wrote in a series of posts on X.

The Tesla chief also criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, calling for his resignation in a post on X. Musk described Scholz as an "incompetent fool" and urged him to step down immediately.

Elon Musk's thread, consisting of 10 tweets, claims that the German government rejected extradition requests from Saudi Arabia. “Saudi Extradition Request Ignored: Saudi Arabia🇸🇦 formally requests his extradition, but Germany🇩🇪 denies the request, citing human rights concerns despite clear evidence of his criminal activities,” the tweet reads.

Musk, who is set to join US President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet as an outside advisor next year, has already called on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to resign, labelling him an "incompetent fool" in response to a horrific attack at a crowded Christmas market.

According to media reports, the accused, Taleb A, had rented the BMW involved in the incident. While there were initial concerns about an explosive device in the vehicle, German authorities later confirmed that no explosives were found.

Verified posts on the suspect's now-deleted X account revealed his support for anti-Islam and far-right groups, including the Alternative for Germany (AfD). These posts also criticized Germany's handling of Saudi refugees.
