Viral Video: A teacher was caught on camera throwing an 11-year-old student on the ground by grabbing his collar in a viral video. The clip, taking the internet by storm, has sparked a new row online with netizens expressing their personal views on the incident. The incident took place at a school in the United States on December 6, 2024, according to a report by the New York Times.

As the video starts, it shows the teacher grabbing the student by the collar and throwing him to the ground in the classroom. The student lands on the ground dramatically on his back. The teacher then walked towards him and stood over him.

The incident took place after the student allegedly confronted the teacher, identified as BeTreylin Elder, a football coach, after the teacher reportedly made "sexual comments" about the student's mother, according to the report.

"I was told that he had a share of words that were inappropriate to TJ (the student) and that he had made some remarks about me and my son was unhappy with it," WTOC quoted Che’Nelle Russell, the student's mother as saying.

Mother Of Student Wants Strict Complaint Against Teacher

Meanwhile, the mother of the student wants action to be taken against the football coach. However, she has not filed any official complaint.

"He needs to be placed in jail. He hurt my boy. I’m heartbroken because I wouldn’t do that to my child. His father wouldn’t do that to him. So for him to take the initiative to do that is sickening," she told the media outlet.
