The Indian Embassy in Dublin on Friday advised its citizens in Ireland to take precautionary measures for “personal security” and avoid deserted areas, particularly during “odd hours” after an increase in instances of physical attacks on Indian citizens in Ireland.

This comes a day after an Indian-origin man faced a brutal attack by some teenagers in Dublin. The man alleged that he was beaten by a group and left with a fractured cheekbone. He added that the incident was not isolated, as many Indians living in the European country were facing similar situations. The man also posted two photos on his LinkedIn account substantiating his claims.

Man Faces Brutal Attack In Dublin

“After having dinner, I was walking near my apartment when a group of six teenagers attacked me from behind. They snatched my glasses, breaking them, and then beat me relentlessly across my head, face, neck, chest, hands, and legs—leaving me bleeding on the pavement. I managed to call the Gardaí, and an ambulance took me to Blanchardstown Hospital. The medical team confirmed my cheekbone is fractured, and I have now been referred for specialist care,” Dr Santosh Yadav said on LinkedIn.
