The attackers reportedly assaulted Singh without provocation, shouting racial slurs—most notably “F**k off, Indian”—before leaving him unconscious on the road.
What Happened That Night?
Singh and his wife had just parked their car to view the city’s light displays when the altercation began. He told 9News that the attack may have stemmed from a parking dispute, but it quickly turned violent and racially charged.
“They just said, ‘F**k off, Indian,’ and after that they just started punching,” Singh recounted from the hospital. Video footage and eyewitness accounts indicate that the attackers exited their vehicle and began assaulting Singh with severe force, targeting his face and head. His wife, displaying quick thinking, followed the fleeing car and managed to record its registration number while also filming the scene.

Singh Left With Serious Injuries
The injuries sustained were severe. Singh was left unconscious and bleeding on the street, with facial fractures and possible brain trauma, as reported by The Australia Today. South Australia Police confirmed receiving a distress call just before 9:30 pm. “When police arrived, they located the 22-year-old victim on the floor with facial injuries. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Investigations are continuing,” said a spokesperson to The Indian Sun.
Police Investigation And One Arrest
Following the incident, South Australia Police launched a manhunt based on the footage and vehicle information captured by Singh’s wife.
