Jaydeep Patel, a 31-year-old Phoenix resident, was arrested at his home on July 17, 2025, following an investigation into the alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Authorities charged Patel with nine felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, each classified as a class two felony under Arizona law.

The case began after law enforcement received multiple online tips from an Internet Service Provider (ISP) regarding a social media account linked to CSAM. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the ISP flagged suspicious activity involving a mobile chat platform where users exchange messages, images, and videos. Detectives traced the account to Patel, leading to the execution of a search warrant at his residence.

During the search, investigators reportedly uncovered multiple images and videos depicting child sexual abuse. Some of the material allegedly contained identifiable features of Patel’s home or body. Additionally, authorities examined social media accounts tied to his phone number, discovering explicit chat logs in which Patel allegedly solicited CSAM for personal gratification.

Legal Proceedings And Hospital Response

Following his arrest, Patel appeared in court, where a judge set a USD 100,000 cash-only bond. If released, he will face strict conditions, including electronic monitoring, a curfew, and a prohibition on contacting minors. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 28, 2025.

Patel was reportedly employed at Phoenix Children’s Hospital at the time of his arrest. In a statement issued on July 21, the hospital confirmed that Patel had cleared all mandatory background checks before hiring but was immediately terminated following the allegations.
