A day after Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards attacked targets in Iraq and Syria with missiles, two bases of the Balochi militant group Jaish al Adl in Pakistan were targeted by missiles on Tuesday. Pakistan said that the strikes constituted an "unprovoked violation" of its airspace, killing two children and injuring three others, the Associated Press reported.
"These bases were hit and destroyed by missiles and drones," Iranian state media reported, without elaborating. According to Iran's Nournews, affiliated with the country's top security body, the bases that were hit were situated in Pakistan's Balochistan province.

Drones and missiles were reportedly used in the strikes on Pakistan, according to Iran's state-run IRNA news agency and state television. Press TV, the English-language arm of Iranian state television, attributed the attack to Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.
Following a missile attack, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry issued a strongly worded rebuke of the strikes. "Pakistan strongly condemns the unprovoked violation of its airspace by Iran which resulted in the death of two innocent children while injuring three girls," the statement read, AP reported. "This violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty is completely unacceptable and can have serious consequences," he added.
On Monday, Iran launched missiles into Iraq at what it claimed to be an Israeli "spy headquarters" close to the US Consulate complex in the city of Irbil, as well as into northern Syria targeting the Islamic State organization.
