Iran War 2026: Iran on Friday issued a fresh threat to the American tech companies operating in the Middle East region. In a video message, Tehran's Khatam al-Anbiya HQ spokesman stated that the top firms, including Microsoft, Oracle, and Nvidia will be targeted if the US continues its strike on the energy infrastructure of Iran. The fresh threat emerged a day after Iran reportedly attacked an Amazon facility in Bahrain, leading to severe damages.
In his video message, the Khatam al-Anbiya HQ spokesperson asserted that Iran will launch strikes on power plants, energy infrastructure, and IT firms. "Should the US proceed with its threats concerning Iran's power plant facilities, the following retaliatory measures shall be promptly enacted. All power plants, energy infrastructure, and information and communication technology of the Zionist regime, and all similar companies in the region that have American shareholders, shall face complete and utter annihilation," he asserted.

The video also claimed that while Google has tried to hide these facilities, nothing is hidden from the sight of Iran. While pointing out the location of the AI computing cluster in the UAE, he stated that several key firms, including Nvidia, OpenAI, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs, are likely to be targeted by Tehran. However, the US has warned of intensified attacks if Iran attempts to hit these firms.

Earlier on Thursday, a Financial Times report stated that Amazon's cloud operations in Bahrain got damaged following an airstrike from Iran. Bahrain's interior ministry also confirmed that a team was extinguishing the fire in the firm; however, it asserted that no casualties were reported.
Earlier in March, the IRGC had accused the IT firms of spying for the US and Israel. "Since the main element in designing and tracking terror targets are American ICT and AI companies… from now on the main institutions effective in terrorist operations will be our legitimate targets," the IRGC said in its statement.
