At least 40 Palestinians were killed in the overnight Israeli strikes in Gaza amid the renewed efforts to resume the ceasefire talks, news agency Reuters reported. The latest attack on Hamas sites came as its leadership headed for Cairo to hold fresh rounds of negotiations.

Medical professionals reported recovering 19 bodies of Palestinians killed in northern areas of Nuseirat refugee camp. Another Israeli airstrike killed at least 10 Palestinians in a house in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, medics said.

- Medics confirmed deaths in both northern and southern parts of Gaza.
