Israel-Palestine War: The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Tuesday claimed it had destoyed a building in the Gaza Strip which served as a military headquarters for Hamas. Providing operational updates about its ongoing air raid campaign against Hamas targets in the Palestinian exclave, the IDF said its fighter jets had also struck a bank which was being used to fund the Palestinian militant outfit's activities in Gaza.

"Overnight, IDF fighter jets struck: [Red Cross Emoji] A Hamas military headquarters and neutralized a Hamas military operative. [Red Cross Emoji]  A bank utilized to fund Hamas terrorist activity in Gaza," the IDF said posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The post also carried a video footage purportedly captured by a camera of the fighter jets involved in the operation.

On Monday, the IDF shared a list containing the names, images and designations of six key Hamas figures it said were killed in its bombardment of Gaza. The list featured Merad Abu Merad, who was responsible for the operations of Hamas's aerial assets. According to Israel, he was killed in an air strike last week.

The list also carried details about Ali Qadi, who, as per IDF's claims, was eliminated around the same time as Merad. The Israeli military said Qadi was a military commander who led one of the raids during Hamas's multi-front attack on Israel on October 7.
