Israel-Palestine War: The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Monday shared a video footage apparently recorded by the body camera of a Hamas militant during a raid on a residential community in the Israeli territory. The date when the video was recorded was not mentioned by the IDF.

However, according to news reports, the video is from October 7 when Hamas staged a multi-front attack against Israel and unleashed an 'unprecedented' onslaught in which an estimated 1,300 Israelis were killed.

"RAW FOOTAGE: Hamas jihadists squad invasion and killing spree of an innocent Israeli community. The filmed terrorist was neutralized by Israeli security forces," the IDF said in a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In the video, a group of Hamas militants armed with RPGs and assault rifles can be seen infiltrating Israeli territory on motorcycles.

The video then shows the attackers firing their RPGs and breaching a gated Israeli residential complex. Once inside the housing complex, the Hamas militants proceeded to open fire at the houses in the area.

The Hamas militant carrying the camera on his body fired at an individual through the screen door of one of the houses. The person, whose silhouette appeared to be that of a female, managed to escape unharmed, as per the video.

The attackers then proceed to break into a different house, only to find it empty. The electronic gadgets, including a ringing mobile phone, lying on the dining table indicate the occupants vacated the house in a hurry.

The 3-minute-long footage ends with the Hamas militant being gunned down presumably by members of Israeli security forces. The video captured the screams of the dying Hamas fighter.
